The Book of wikked wyves is a book mentioned in The Wife of Bath tale in the Canterbury Tales. Along with texts such as Valerius to Rufinus, on not being ruled by one's wife, by Valerius, The Golden Book of Marriage by Theophrastus, Adversus Jovinianum by Jerome and also to the Miroir de Mariage of Eustache Deschamps, it belongs to the antifeminist literature of the Middle Ages.
