Bart Van Loo (né en 1973) est un écrivain belge néerlandophone et francophile.

Biographie

Après avoir enseigné le français, langue étrangère à Anvers, Bart Van Loo se consacre à l’écriture.

IL a été un des lauréats de la Villa Marguerite Yourcenar en 2008.

IL est également critique littéraire et conférencier.

Œuvre

Bart Van Loo a publié deux ouvrages consacrés à la littérature et à la culture françaises. Le premier propose un voyage très personnel en France sur les traces des grands auteurs du XIX siècle. Parijs retour. Literaire reisgids voor Frankrijk (Paris aller-retour. Guide littéraire de France, 2006). Le second est un livre de cuisine littéraire qui, de manière très érudite et avec humour, confronte les plats mangés dans les romans et les livres de cuisine de l’époque. Als kok in Frankrijk. Literaire recepten en culinaire verhalen (Recettes littéraires et histoires culinaires. Littérature et gastronomie, 2008).
