Carolee Schneemann (October 12, 1939 – March 6, 2019) was an American artist, known for her body art and performance art focusing on sexuality and gender. Her most famous works include Eye Body: 36 Transformative Actions (1963), Meat Joy (1964), Fuses (1967), and Interior Scroll (1975)
