Confessions of a Cultist: On the Cinema, 1955-1969 is a 1970 film book by Andrew Sarris and his first collection of weekly film criticism, covering the years 1956 to 1969. Sarris writes long essays on "Contempt", "Belle de Jour", and re-releases of Chaplin's films. He also expresses his love for French films.
