Diana de Beauharnais

Princess Diana Kotchoubey de Beauharnais was born on 4 June 1918 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She is the daughter of Prince Eugene Kotchoubey de Beauharnais and Helen Pearce.

She married, firstly, Georges Snopko on 13 May 1939. She married, secondly, Georges Bataille in 1945.

From 13 May 1939, her married name became Snopko. From 1945, her married name became Bataille.

Kotchoubey is a Tartar name from the south.

Eugène Rose de Beauharnais

Eugène Rose de Beauharnais, Prince of Venice, Duke of Leuchtenberg, Viceroy of Italy (September 3, 1781 - February 21, 1824) was the first child and only son of the future French emperor Napoleon's first wife, Joséphine de Tascher de la Pagerie and Alexandre, Vicomte de Beauharnais.

He was born in Paris, France and became the stepson and adopted child (but not the heir to the imperial throne) of Napoleon. His natural father having been executed during the revolutionary Reign of Terror. He commanded the Army of Italy and was viceroy of Italy under his stepfather.
