Grupo Folklorico Y Experimental Nuevayorquino is an American Latin jazz ensemble active in the 1970s and 1980s, releasing records via Salsoul Records. The group consisted of brothers Andy and Jerry Gonzalez (trumpet & percussion), Manny Oquendo (timbales), "Chocolate" Armenteros (trumpet), Virgilio Martí (vocals), Oscar Hernandez (piano), Nelson Gonzalez (tres guitar), Milton Cardona (bata), and Reinaldo Jorge (trombone) and they were influenced by Rene Lopez.
