Joy Press (b. 1966) is a freelance writer and co-author of The Sex Revolts: Gender, Rebellion and Rock'N'Roll (along with her husband Simon Reynolds). She has contributed to the Village Voice, Seattle Weekly, and Slate.com. In 2003, the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies awarded her second place for Arts Criticism. Press has written extensively on the topic of gender.
