Madame Edwarda is a story by Georges Bataille published posthumously. Bataille wrote it under the pseudonym, Pierre Angélique. In his preface, Bataille quotes Hegel: "Death is the most terrible of all things; and to maintain its works is what requires the greatest of all strength."
