Mrs Dalloway (published on 14 May, 1925) is a novel by Virginia Woolf detailing a day in the life of protagonist Clarissa Dalloway in post-World War I England. Mrs Dalloway continues to be one of Woolf's best-known novels, owing in part to the popularity of Michael Cunningham's novel The Hours, and Stephen Daldry's movie adaptation of the same name.
