Potlatch was the "information bulletin of the French Section of the Internationale lettriste" published 27 issues, from June 22, 1954 to November 5, 1957. Weekly for the first 12 issues, then monthly. Several well-known members, including Guy Debord, Mohamed Dahou, and Gil J Wolman went on to form the Situationist International.
The potlatch was also a Bataillean concept, borrowed from Marcel Mauss's discussion of the potlatch and gift economy.
