Albrecht Dürer's The Painter's Manual (more literally, the Instructions on Measurement) was first published in 1525 and features the famous woodcut Artist and Model in the Studio. It is a book on geometry and perspective and was published at Nuremberg. It is the first book for adults to be published on mathematics in German.
