The Painter's Manual[1] (German: Underweysung der messung mit dem zirckel un richtscheyt; English: Instructions for the measurement / with compass and ruler / of lines, planes) is a work by Albrecht Dürer first published in 1525 and features the famous woodcut Artist and Model in the Studio[2]. It is a book on geometry and perspective and was published at Nuremberg. It is the first book for adults to be published on mathematics in German.
