"Weekend" is a musical composition produced by Patrick Adams and written by James Calloway and Leroy Burgess. Lead vocals were by Christine Wiltshire, then wife of Patrick Adams.
The composition was covered by Class Action on Sleeping Bag Records and subsequently sampled on many Todd Terry tracks starting with [1].
"What we're gonna do right here is go back, way back, back into time"
The sample features at the very start of Weekend by Todd Terry Project from 88. The original smaple is from an old 70's record by The Jimmy Castor Bunch called "Troglodyte".[2]
