A Woman's Face is a 1941 MGM film based on the play, Il Etait Une Fois by Francis de Croisset. The film starred Joan Crawford, Melvyn Douglas, and Conrad Veidt. In the film, set in Stockholm, Crawford plays Anna, a physically scarred woman, who blackmails others to survive. Anna undergoes plastic surgery to restore her face, in order to secure the attraction of the man she loves. Later, she falls under his influence, and goes on trial for murder.
