Achetez des Pommes[1] (c. 1890, English: Buy Apples) is a French erotic photograph masquerading as an advertisement for apples. The "apples" are in fact a visual pun with breasts. It and similar images have appeared with captions such as "Achetez des pommes", "La marchande de pommes", "Pommes à vendre", etc. The photographer is unknown.
Felicien Rops did a rendering of it as "Pommes à vendre." Several sources cite it as a study for the central figure of the frontispice for Les cousines de la colonelle (Lisbonne, chez Antonio de Boa-Vista [Bruxelles, Gay et Doucé], 1882).
The photo appears in the books 1000 Nudes and Woman as Sex Object.
