Africa 100 is collection of afrobeat songs compiled by Pitchfork Media writer Joe Tangari in 2005. The origin of the collection, which Tangari put together on seven CDs for listening in the car, is explained in his 2010 article "The Indestructible Beat"[1], which also recounts the history of afrobeat and includes a track-by-track analysis. Africa 100 has never been released commercially, but circulates as an illegal download.
