Bananas is a film written and directed by Woody Allen in 1971 and starring him and Louise Lasser. Parts of the plot were based on the book Don Quixote, U.S.A. by Richard P. Powell. It was filmed on location in New York City and in various locations in Puerto Rico: San Juan, Carolina and Loiza
