The functions (i.e. processes) of human or animal bodies, called "systems" in physiology.

In humans, the bodily functions such as exhibiting flatulence, urinating, defecating, picking one's nose and inadequate personal hygiene resulting in body odour are considered vulgar in public. In many areas, it is considered impolite not to cover one's mouth while yawning.

Bodily functions is also a euphemism for urination or defecation.
