Brendan King is an Anglophone writer who majored with a PhD on Huysmans's life and work. He has published translations of Là-bas (Dedalus Books, 2001), Parisian Sketches (Dedalus Books, 2004), Marthe (Dedalus Books, 2006), and is working on a new translation of Against Nature. He has also revised and annotated the second edition of Robert Baldick's seminal biography The Life of J.-K. Huysmans (Dedalus Books, 2006), which was first published by the Clarendon Press in 1955.
