Bugiale or buggiale is the name given by the friends of Poggio to the latter's apartment.

The word which signifies in Italian, a place of recreation, to tell stories. Poggio himself translates it as Mendaciorum Officina.

Bugiale is derived from the Italian word Bugia, falsehood.
