On December 11 1891, the Théâtre d'Art of Paul Fort presents a theatrical show by Remy de Gourmont. It was a memorable evening. Texts by Maurice Denis (Fier-à-bras, Berte au grand pié and Roland) are recited in front of decors by Ibels. The Aveugles by Maeterlinck, Concile féerique by Jules Laforgue, and Cantique des Cantiques by Roinard, with orchestration, light show and "odor show" (the programme notes explain the concordance of sounds, the human voice, colors and perfumes). Théodat is also performed.
