An element is the simplest or essential part or principle of which anything consists, or upon which the constitution or fundamental powers of anything are based.
It may refer to:
- Chemical element, a pure substance of one type of atom
- Euclid's Elements, a mathematical treatise on geometry and number theory
- Classical elements, ancient beliefs about the fundamental types of matter (earth, air, fire, water)
