Christian mythology is the body of traditional narrative associated with Christianity. Many Christians believe that these stories are sacred and that they communicate profound truths. These traditional narratives include, but are not necessarily limited to, narrative portions of the Christian scriptures. A neutral approach must take it as an axiom that Christian mythology is neither more nor less true than, for example, Greek mythology.
The Christian religion has diverged over the centuries into many denominations, and not all hold the same set of sacred traditional narratives. For example, the Roman Catholic Bible contains a number of narrative books—including the Book of Judith and the Book of Tobit—that the Protestant Bible does not include.
