Coleus (cōleī, singular: cōleus) is Latin testicles. It had an alternative, consonant-stem form cōleōnēs (singular: cōleō), in later Latin sometimes culiō, culiōnēs, that is sparsely attested in Classical Latin; this, however, is the productive word in Romance. Coleus is also a genus of flowering plants in the family Lamiaceae.
