Cultural Criticism and Society (German: "Kulturkritik und Gesellschaft") is an essay by Theodor W. Adorno first published in 1951, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Leopold von Wiese.

The essay is famous for its often-quoted dictum: "Writing poetry after Auschwitz is barbaric" with regards to the Holocaust and its relation to the arts.
