Dennis Stock (* July 24 1928 in New York City; † January 11 2010 in Sarasota, Florida) was an American photographer and member of Magnum Photos, best-known for his photo "James Dean haunted Times Square," a portrait of James Dean walking in the rain, taken in New York City, Times Square in 1955.

Film portrayals

In 2011, a documentary film Beyond Iconic: Photographer Dennis Stock, narrated by Stock himself was released. It was completed before his death.

Robert Pattinson portrayed him in an the biographical drama film Life, about Stock's friendship with James Dean.
