Departure of the Witches detail[1] (1878) is a painting by Luis Riccardo Faléro.

It was presented at the Paris Salon of 1880 [no. 380] and was discussed by Francis Jourdain in “L’art officiel de Jules Grevy à Albert Lebrun,” Le Point, revue artistique et littéraire [Paris] 37 (April 1949) (ch.5; Francis Jourdain, L’Art Officiel de Jules Grévy à Albert Lebrun, special issue of Le Point, Mulhouse, April 1949 reproduces several works by the artist Luis Ricardo Falero, who specialized in representing titillating witches[2]).
