Diaboli virtus in lombis[1] (1888) is a drawing by Felicien Rops for the frontispiece of the novel L'initiation sentimentale by Joséphin Péladan. The aquarelle and "encre de Chine" on paper (26.2 x 18.2à in housed in Paris, Musée du Louvre, Cabinet des dessins. The title of the print echoes the Latin dictum "diaboli virtus in lumbis est."
