Dziennik - a journal by Witold Gombrowicz published in three volumes in the years 1957-1966 in Paris by the Literary Institute , the fourth volume published in 1992 in Krakow by Wydawnictwo Literackie. In Poland, the whole appeared in the years 1986-1992 in Wydawnictwo Literackie .
In an ironic, cynical and humorous way tells the story of the author who in dialogue with himself engages in dialogue with various currents in the humanities ( existentialism , Marxism , phenomenology , structuralism ), and with the tradition of Polish culture. He comments on current political events regarding Poland and its place in Europe and the world.
