Disorder is the opposite of order.
It may refer to :
- Chaos, unpredictability and in the metaphysical sense, it is the opposite of law and order
- Disease, an abnormality of the body or mind that causes discomfort, dysfunction, or distress
- Entropy, a state function of a thermodynamic system (The usage of "disorder" to explain entropy is popular, but many scientists avoid the term, as it is too unclear and judgmental.)
- Lawlessness, a lack of laws or law enforcement
- Randomness, a lack of determined order in information theory, mathematics, and computer programming
- Civil disorder, one or more forms of disturbance caused by a group of people
