Drawing by Paul Gachet of the severing of the ear of van Gogh[1] (French: Dessin de Paul Gachet de la coupure de l'oreille de Van Gogh), published in Le drame de l’oreille coupée.

The caption reads:

"Dessin montrant la ligne suivant laquelle van Gogh se coupa l'oreille gauche. C'est la portion située au-dessous de cette ligne qui fut détachée."

English:

"Drawing showing the line along which van Gogh cut off his left ear. It is the portion located below the line was severed."
