Aimee Anne Duffy (born on 23rd June, 1984 in Gwynedd), known professionally as Duffy, is a Welsh singer-songwriter of soul music.


"Mercy" is the second single from the album Rockferry by Duffy. It was made available for download from February 11th 2008 and was released physically on February 25 2008. On February 17th, the song entered the UK Singles Chart at number one solely on download sales. The retro-soul style is given further significance by the appearance of several Northern Soul dancers in the song's video. The music video was uploaded to popular video-sharing website YouTube on 17 January 2008. As of 20 March 2008, it has been viewed over 3 million times.
