Félicia ou mes fredaines (1772) is a novel by André Robert de Nerciat. The English title is Félicia; or, My Mischief. The book was illustrated by Borel and Elluin, William Fel, Louis Icart.
French editor Zulma used Greuze's painting La Gimblette for the 2000s edition of the novel.
Felicia is is the protagonist of the story and we meet her again in Montrose and Les Aphrodites.
Her story starts on a pirate ship. She is then adopted by an Italian who gives her an education. At fourteen her first sexual experience is with a dancing instructor. At nineteen she falls in love with the Chevalier d'Aiglemont, then a priest. She goes to to Paris. On the way she is attacked by highwaymen but freed by young Montrose. Their love story occupies the first half of the second volume. Montrose and Felicia enjoy an open relationship.
The book also features the hermaphrodite, Nicelte, who perhaps served as the model for Zambinella, in Balzac's short story "Sarrasine".
