Fernando Trueba ( January 18 1955 in Madrid) is an award-winning Spanish book editor, screenwriter and film director.
Among other awards, he has won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film with Belle Epoque in 1993, and the Goya Award as Best Director three times. .
He is the brother of David Trueba.
