R&B number-one hits of 1967 (USA)

Funky Broadway is a song originally recorded by Dyke & the Blazers in 1967 but made into a hit by Wilson Pickett that same year. In fact, the song reached #1 on the Hot Soul Singles chart and #8 on the Hot 100 chart. The song is notable as being the first charted single with the word "Funky" in the title as well as being prototypical funk music itself.
