Georges Wildenstein (1892 - 1963) was an influential Parisian art dealer, art historian, connoisseur and sponsor of the Surrealists. He also financed Georges Bataille's Documents (journal).
He was a friend of Picasso, Dali, Max Ernst and wrote catalogue raisonnés on Nicolas Lancret, Chardin, Quentin de La Tour, Fragonard, Ingres, Manet and Gauguin.
He is the son of Nathan Wildenstein and father of Daniel Wildenstein.
