I know of no bomb other than a book is a famous dictum by Stéphane Mallarmé.
[edit]
Background
Commenting on the subversive qualities of book reading, Stéphane Mallarmé is quoted as saying "Je ne sais pas d'autre bombe, qu'un livre."[1]
The dictum was elicited from him by a journalist the evening the anarchist Auguste Vaillant had exploded a bomb in the Chambre des Députés.
