"Il Quarto Stato" (Eng: "The Fourth Estate") is a 1901 social realist painting by Italian artist Giuseppe Pellizza. It depicts in - "MGM grandeur" - sepia-toned rows of handsome Italian workers marching toward a new dawn behind two men and a woman holding a baby. It is a large painting that measures 293 by 545 cm.

One scene in the Italian film Novecento (1900) was directly inspired by this painting.
