Ingsoc (Newspeak for English Socialism or the English Socialist Party) is the political ideology of the totalitarian government of Oceania in George Orwell's Dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. Occurs commonly with the term newspeak which is as referred by Syme (one of Winston's co-workers) as nothing but destroying words and synonyms and antonyms to eliminate confusion.
