John Joseph Nicholson, better known as Jack Nicholson or The Jack (born April 22, 1937 in Neptune City, New Jersey) is an iconic American method actor known for his often dark-themed portrayals of neurotic characters.
He is best known for his films One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Stanley Kubrick's The Shining, As Good as it Gets , and Tim Burton's Batman, and Martin Scorcese's The Departed.
