Jack Scott (born Giovanni Domenico Scafone, Jr., January 24, 1936 – December 12, 2019) was a Canadian-American singer and songwriter.

He was the first white rock and roll star to come out of Detroit, Michigan and grew up listening to hillbilly music and was taught to play the guitar by his mother Laura.

He has been compared in the category 'white rock' to Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley. He worked in rockabilly, rock and roll, country-soul, gospel or blues.

1959 saw him chart with "The Way I Walk", made famous by The Cramps on their Gravest Hits (1979).
