Jugend ohne Gott is the second novel by Austrian-Hungarian author Ödön von Horváth. It was published in 1937 and was translated in eight languages. Its English title is (Youth Without God or Cold Times). Roland Gall's film How I Became a Negro was based on this novel. Jugend ohne Gott chronicles the coming of fascism from a young person's point of view.
