"Le couteau à papier" is the 30th chapter to The Dead Donkey and the Guillotined Woman (L'Âne mort et la femme guillotinée), a parody by Balzac. It was published in Le Voleur of 5 February, 1830.

Incipit

"Je suis content, dis-je à Sylvio, j'ai trouvé moyen d'épuiser la sensibilité humaine, depuis le dernier degré au-dessous de glace jusqu'à celui de la plus haute température"
