From Ancient Greek ληθαργία (lethargia) "drowsiness", from λήθαργος (lethargos) "forgetful, lethargy", from λήθη (lethe) "a forgetting, forgetfulness".

Noun

  1. A state of fatigue, sluggishness and inactivity
  2. A state of apathy with lack of emotion or interest
  3. A state of comatose torpor (as found in sleeping sickness)
