Loretta Lynn (1932 – 2022) was an American singer-songwriter working in country music.

She is known for compositions such as "I'm a Honky Tonk Girl" (1960), "Coal Miner's Daughter" (1970) and "The Pill" (1975).

Her bestselling 1976 autobiography, Coal Miner's Daughter was made into a film with the same title in 1980, starring Sissy Spacek and Tommy Lee Jones.
