When asked which is the greatest commandment, the Bible reports Jesus as answering, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind," before also referring to a second commandment; "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." Most Christian denominations view these two commandments as, together, forming the core of the Christian religion. The second commandment is popularily known as Golden Rule.
