Marcel Duchamp and Eve Babitz Playing Chess [1] is the informal title to a photo by Julian Wasser of Marcel Duchamp playing chess with a fully nude Eve Babitz at the Pasadena Museum of Art in 1963.

Babitz was twenty at the time, the occasion was his landmark retrospective curated by Walter Hopps, with whom Babitz was having an affair at the time. The photograph is described by the Smithsonian Archives of American Art as being “among the key documentary images of American modern art”.
