Marvin Gaye (born Marvin Pentz Gay, Jr.) (April 2 1939April 1 1984) was an American singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer who gained international fame as an artist on the Motown record label in the 1960s and 1970s. He is known for such hits as "Sexual Healing".
