"Mathar" is a jazz-funk composition by The Dave Pike Set, featuring sitarist Volker Kriegel. It was released on the album Noisy Silence - Gentle Noise (1969) on MPS.
"Mathar" became a club hit, and was later recorded by Paul Weller under the guise of Indian Vibes, released on the French label Yellow Productions in 1994.
