Moondance is the third solo album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison, released in 1970 (see 1970 in music). The style blends R & B, country rock, and even jazz (most obviously on the title track). Moondance peaked at #29 on Billboard's Pop Albums chart. The singles released were "Come Running", which peaked at #39 on the Pop Singles chart and "Moondance", peaking at #92, seven years after its original release. Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time ranked it at #65 in 2003. It has often appeared on many other lists of best albums of all times.
